Here I will discuss what I've eaten, how it makes me feel mentally, emotionally and physically. I've decided to do this food blog to see if I can get to the bottom of why I/we eat what we do, when we eat it, and pin point those bad habits to over come all of it and become a healthier person.
Day 1: BREAKFAST: aprox 3/4 of a cup of egg whites with finely chopped scallions sauteed in half a tbs of butter with a small handful of shredded cheddar cheese. Coffee, flavored beans with 1% milk and 3 Truvia.
How it makes me feel: So far ok, I think I used too much butter and the grease began to turn my stomach a bit, could have gone for less cheese as it took over the whole meal. Jazzed up a bit from 2 cups of coffee. Drinking more than 1 cup is more of a habit than anything.
I made this breakfast very absentmindedly with out thinking to use a spray to saute the scallions instead of fatty butter. I'm also not sure why I added cheese other than its just a bad habit of mine to put cheese on everything I eat. Maybe someday I'll go cheese free.
Today is not that day, but its something to definitely think about.
My coffee intake ebbs and flows. There are days when I drink more coffee than anything else, and days when I get halfway through my first cup and dump the rest. Again with my bad habits. Do I need to become caffeine and dairy free?
Will life ever be enjoyable with out these things? Today I think not.
